Almost a year on delay, Research in Motion has finally announced the arrival of the BlackBerry PlayBook 4G LTE tablet edition. It should be offered exclusively at the Canada, Bell, Rogers and Telus beginning of August 9. The price of the tablet was not announced. Last year, the Blackberry Playbook 7-Inch Tablet (32GB) was launched from $ 500, but price had dropped to $249.99 (32GB) and more, which gave a second blows to the device.
The PlayBook 4G LTE is substantially the same shelf as that launched by the Canadian company last year, with some internal improvements. It obviously has an Internet LTE connection (whereas the previous was Wi – Fi only), but it also has an improved core running at 1.5 GHz dual processor. Side capacity, it will however only available with 32 GB of space.
Other characteristics as its camera (5 megapixel), frontal (3 megapixel) camera, its 1 GB of RAM and its 7 screen of 1024 by 600 pixels remain unchanged.
The PlayBook Tablet has been a disappointment for RIM last year and sales were largely within expectations. The fact that the new edition is available to the Canada for the moment, and a single capacity, probably indicates that the Canadian company prefers to play ards more carefully this time, which is probably not a bad thing.
